Catherine, who is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York, graduated from Rutgers University School of Law - Newark in 2006. She received her B.A. in Political Science in 2002 (minoring in Psychology) from Rutgers College where she graduated with highest honors in Political Science and was inducted into the Phi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society.

 

During her time in law school, Catherine was a research assistant, an intern in the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Homicide Division, an Intern with the The Honorable Michael A. Petrolle, J.S.C., (Ret.) Essex County Superior Court, Criminal Division, Newark and a student attorney for the Rutgers Child Advocacy Clinic. Through her work in the Clinic, Catherine represented children in abuse and neglect cases in family court and disabled, low-income children in Federal Administrative Court on issues involving the denial and termination of public benefits. 

After law school, Catherine served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. McCarthy, J.S.C. (Ret.) of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Family Part, County of Union from 2006 to 2007. During her Clerkship, Catherine practiced in the New Jersey Family Court judicial process from inside the court system. 

 

Following her clerkship, Catherine joined Budd Larner, P.C. In Short Hills where she obtained extensive matrimonial law experience representing clients in divorce and other family proceedings regarding equitable distribution, alimony, child support, custody and parenting time, post-judgment and appellate matters.

 

Catherine also practiced matrimonial law at Ross & Calandrillo in Mountainside, NJ and at DughiHewit & Domalewski in Cranford, NJ.

Catherine’s practice is entirely dedicated to matrimonial and family law. She approaches all matters with the intent to help her clients find a path forward through conflicts and stressful situations. Catherine believes that one size does not fit all in family law matters and strives to work with clients to obtain the best outcome through strategies and resources that fit their individual needs.
